The previous owner felt the Tiffin lacked power at 180 HP., so he took it to a Cummins Performance Shop, added a KandN air filter, larger exhaust, etc. and it has enhanced fuel pump at 8 lbs. psi. instead of 4 lbs., and added an exhaust brake at the same time.

Now with an estimated 240 HP. He felt that the Ford transmission would not carry the 1/3 more power, so he swapped it out for an Allison 4-speed capable of handling the power. I will show pictures of over $20,000.00 in invoices for the upgrades. I love the Allison downshifting tranny!
Due to a fridge recall by Norcold, in 2018 it got a new 8 cu. ft. Norcold NA8LX fridge!
The Tiffin is a bit noisier due to the diesel engine, but more than makes up for it with great fuel economy at 15 MPG, an exhaust brake for those long downhills and with diesel being cheaper. I just got home from the Cariboo with 808 Kms. pulling a trailer and filled up for about $155!! Some pickup trucks won’t get that! It has new shocks, new wheel alignment, new fuel pump, new brake pads, and all new tires.
It has an Onan (by Cummins) generator to power the microwave and air conditioner, and charge the batteries.
The Air Compressor has outlets on each side for refilling the rear air bag suspension, or for swim floats or bicycle tires or whatever. (blowing dust out of the K&N filter)
It has hydraulic jacks for leveling, power steering and power 4 wheel disc brakes, but the cruise control has been disabled due to the previous owner thinking it was unsafe. To each his own.
It has a bunk over the Driver/Passenger area, a bench seat with 3 seat belts that makes a single bed, and the dinette makes down into a bed and it has twin beds in the back. See the pictures.
It has a toilet and shower and hot water and all the usual amenities, and a huge 100 gal. fuel tank that will take you past Alberta before refueling!
It has been insulated underneath for winter as the previous owner was a hunter, and he installed a Webasto diesel heater to warm the engine for cold winter starts. It even has a deer whistle. (and it works!)
It has really nice daytime/nighttime window shades.
Drawbacks:
You need to know how to operate a diesel with an exhaust brake.
It is old and everything works until it doesn’t.
The electric step doesn’t work.
The rear furnace needs a new Suburban mother board. ($189) if you want 2 furnaces.
It is UGLY!! and has no push-outs.

However, I bought it in the late Spring of 2019, and when not using it I loaned it to folks that didn’t have one. You can contact me for how that has worked out for me because it is not just a Moho, it’s an investment and can pay for itself in just a few years. Even if you loan it only a few times, the income pays for maintenance and repairs and allows you to keep it in tip top shape for when you want to use it yourself. That’s why it has new tires, new shocks, etc. etc. Your Return On Investment is pretty interesting.
