If upgrades are important to you, you are in the right ad!

The week we bought this rig, we took out the TVs and had two Samsung Smart Internet TVs installed: the front one is 42″ with a Samsung Blue Ray Player, the back one is 26″ with a Toshiba SD 1800. They both are mounted on heavy duty rotating and telescoping mounts.

We next had special latches installed, so we could leave with a quick flip of a lever to secure each cabinet. You unlock them after the trip with a special magnetic device.

Since then we put in a new Splendide Washer/Dryer, a new hot water heater, a new Flexsteel sleeper sofa (it’s beautiful — ultra suede, with a drawer for linens. It’s a motorhome model, so the metal frame is bolted to the floor and the seatbelts are accommodated for safety.)

We chose this particular rig for the storage: it is amazing all we had in there! Both in the unit and under it, the storage was fantastic. Three of the underneath bays go all the way through. One has a pull-out-from-either-side drawer.

The second draw for us was the ingenuity of the design. We like to have another couple join us on our adventures and this Phaeton gave the most privacy we could find. As owners, our bedroom has a corner sink and a pocket door leading to the bathroom and shower areas. From the front room, our guests also have a sliding door leading into that area. It made entertaining very private (and quiet!)

Speaking of the bathroom, it is compact, but gracious enough for all of the guests with whom we have shared– even the larger ones! The shower is across the hall from the bathroom. It has a tall showerhead which is designed to also be a handheld model, a corner seat, and a wonderful skylight. Again, the size is generous.

The refrigerator is a side by side with ice-maker. The dining table slides out to seat four. The Flexsteel leather captain chairs rotate to become living room seats. (Mine, the passenger one, even reclines and lets me put my feet up!) Both of the chairs have multiple electric controls, as well as my manual lever for the footrest.

There is also a second couch/loveseat in the living room. It is also by Flexsteel, with the seat belts for travel. It makes out into a ‘bed’ — too short for regular adults, but perfect for two of our elementary aged grandkids.

The stove is gas, as is the lower oven. The upper oven is a combination convection/microwave. The sink is a double one, with countertop inserts to cover.

The windows are all double pane, with day/night shades. The front windows and windshield are covered by a specially designed curtain, which has snaps to open or close the door area. There is a retractable floor that goes beneath my feet when we travel.

There are convenient plugs everywhere, even right at my feet when driving, so my phone and i-pad can charge. There are motorized dark sun-blockers on the windshield, as well as a fan on either side for extra air circulation on scorching days, driving into the sun. This home has two AC units and two furnaces (both electric and propane.) It also has three ceiling vents, all of which have strong fans. All of the windows open and have screens.

The lighting is excellent, with range of choices from super bright, to softly lit, spot, reading, map and energy saving options. There is a patio awning, which retracts and opens electrically.

Mechanically, this rig is in super shape! Our mechanic says the deisel engine is just about broken in at 30,360 miles. We put on all new tires and replaced the batteries.

The four slides give a very generous feel to the home. They all have slide toppers, which have been serviced and replaced as needed. As a side note: Tiffin didn’t make a four-slide-rig until 2005, but this one is licensed as a 2004 model, a bit of a break for licensing and insurance. Tabs are good until May 2016.

Since we were talking top of the rig, I should mention that it has a satellite dome and an extendable TV antenna. There is a ladder on the back of the rig to access the top. The back also has a trailer hitch and the back-up cameras (yes, two)– one is for looking straight down at the hitch and what might be close backing up; the other is to see the road behind as you drive. There are two additional cameras, the side ones, to allow you to see if there is traffic next to you, when you want to change lanes. There are also large rear view mirrors on each side.

This rig has a self-leveling, computerized system, controlled by the push of a button from the driver’s seat. It is amazing to see it come to a perfectly level interior, even on very uneven ground!

There is a water bay with the ‘normal’ connections, also a special black tank swisher, soap and paper towel holders, and an outdoor shower-perfect to rinse off after a walk on the beach!

Since we are done with our motorhome years, we are including all of the ‘extras’ normally needed to purchase separately, such as tire protectors, vent covers… We even have extra packets for the black tank and extra filters for the whole house water system we are throwing in.

Because it didn’t seem fair that only the guests have such a comfortable bed, we put a new queen mattress and new pillows in the master bedroom. They are covered with a bedspread and decorative pillows, which match the trim fabric through out the rig.

We are willing to sell this through an escrow service, to ensure that the sale goes well for both you and us.

This Class A, top of the line (QDH Freightliner) 40 foot Phaeton by Tiffin, a CAT 330 Diesel Pusher, with a 7500 Quiet Onan diesel generator begs to be seen! Please call for an appointment. Ask for my husband, Arie at [REDACTED]; my brother-in-law Bob at [REDACTED] (it’s at his house); or myself, Betsy at [REDACTED].
